Matched Donations

Consider multiply the value of your donation by giving to these donation-matching funds:

• UNF & WHO Solidarity Response Fund— a fund assembled by United Nations and World Health Organization, to which Facebook has committed $10 million in matching donations
• CDC Foundation— the Centers for Disease Control’s emergency response fund, which, like the Solidarity fund, Facebook has committed $10 million in matching donations
• Spotify Music Relief — Spotify is matching 1-to-1, up to $10 million in donations to it’s fund to support artists and musicians impacted by Covid-19
• City Harvest — City Harvest rescues and delivers food to 2.5M New Yorkers in need; each dollar donated matched by BlackRock up to $750,000 through June 30, 2020
• Matching Donations for Employees — a list of 20 corporations, like Apple, Caterpillar, Honda, and General Mills, offering matching donations to their employees and alumni (many are offering 2x matching)
• Feeding America (with Amex Points) — in partnership with JustGiving, American Express will match $1 million in Membership Rewards points donated to Feeding America

  • Frontline Foods — supplies meals to frontline hospital workers; you may donate by state or nationally.
  • Feeding America — network of 60,000+ food bank/pantries, where $1 feeds at least 10 meals
  • Children’s Hunger Fund — packaged meal delivery for children in need; $12 provides an entire Food Pak - enough for 48 meals.
• Helping Hourly Wage Workers
  • One Fair Wage — fund focused on restaurant, gig, and hourly workers impacted by Coronavirus
• Supporting Artists
  • Foundation for Contemporary Arts — supports artists who have cancelled performances and exhibitions due to the pandemic
• Medical Cost Coverage
  • HealthWell Foundation — helps underinsured patients pay medical bills (100% of donations go toward patient grants and services)
• Local Business Support
  • Bailout.nyc — a list of NYC businesses in need and direct links to their GoFundMe pages
  • NY/NJ Mostly — like bailout.nyc, Help Main Street supports NY/NJ businesses by listing their gofundme and gift card portals
  • Bay Area only — a list of businesses offering gift cards at discount (Northern California only)
